The Taylor Virus Lab seeks to answer questions about emerging and remerging pathogenic viruses with epidemic and pandemic potential. We are an interdisciplinary lab with research that intersects the fields of virology, infectious disease epidemiology, ecology, and evolution

The PI

Kishana Taylor, Ph.D., M.S. is a scientist with training in virology, epidemiology, and public health microbiology. The Taylor Virus lab opened in August 2024 at Towson University. Dr. Taylor’s research focuses on emerging and re-emerging viruses of zoonotic origin and the factors (Biological, Environmental, and Anthropological) that contribute to their emergence and spread.
